1.1 Upon submission of the registration for the convention, the congress participants submit a binding application to participate in the congress.
1.2 Upon submission of the registration, the congress participant accepts the general terms and conditions for both him/herself and for all other participants registered by him/her as binding.
1.3 The contract becomes effective with the registration by the congress participants and the allocation of the admission ticket by the organiser. The organiser is entitled to pronounce a refusal for cause. Should the interest in individual speech topics be greater than the available number of seats or should the participants arrive late, there shall be no legal entitlement to a seat or participation on the part of the congress participants. In addition to this, the organiser is free to limit the circle of congress participants for the respective congress.
1.4 The organiser shall not be liable if one or numerous congress speakers do not participate in the congress and the programme is amended or shortened as a result of this. There is no claim for damages for lost performances on the part of the congress participants.
1.5 The organiser can unilaterally withdraw from the concluded contract in the event of the presence of force majeure, or as mentioned in 1.3.
2.1 In the event of a withdrawal, the congress participant commits him/herself to pay a share of the organisational costs as remuneration expenditure. The expenditure amounts to 50 € plus 19% value added tax. As a general principle, cancellations must be in writing to be valid.
3.1 The organiser has taken out insurance coverage for personal injury. This is limited to gross negligence, whereat the gross negligence on the part of the organiser is to be proven by the congress participants.
3.2 The congress participant can only assert his/her claims from the concluded contract to the extent that these have been received by the organiser within 10 days following the end of the congress.
3.3 Agreements deviating from these GTC must be in writing to be valid.
Place of fulfilment and jurisdiction for legal disputes between the congress participants and the organiser shall be Bremen.
